Racks and more

How could I resist this set-up?
Initially I wanted to elaborate on hotels, and my pedantic opinion on some UK chains. I've already
stated some of my thoughts on various posts and blogs and blog-commennts. Old news.

Then Of course, being called Pervy by such an expert as Livvy is a perfect badge of honour (the serious stuff will have to wait a bit still..)

Speaking of Pervy: "Pervert wear Purple"
This was just sent in by my Fave Lady from the North East...

Back to Racks.
I have never claimed to be an expert on Racks, but the picture will give you a clue. As an opinionated person, IMHO a Rack shoul be natural, and firm enough to be carried "free range" on occasions.

Some of my favorite Racks can be found Here - not just on Friday.

Although the all-aware Google will also turn up This Rack.

More positions, $pread the news...

There I was, lost, looking for bearings, pondering my previous blog on positions (the serious positions-part, the part I'm not good at) and debating how to say something sensible about politics and proposed new prostitution laws in the UK.

And along came the lovely
Livvy,
always well connected and clued-in. And she pointed me to this US based $pread Magazine.

Rather then me rant about politics or list the pros and cons of legalizing the Industry, I recommend you to go and enlighten yourself over at $pread.

Their motto is, fittingly, "Illuminating the sex industry". Their Mission Statement makes sense, and their FAQ is instructive as well. They seem a legit business enterprise, staffed by volunteers, most of which have "hands on" experience of the industry.

They actively seek involvement from their readers and the internet community. You can donate, subscribe or even submit an article or letter. I would not be surprised if Livvy would occur as an author at some point (can she resist?).

As modern media people, the $pread team also keep a weblog, so Go say Hi!

Considering the $pread motto: "Illuminating the sex industry", I think a picture of The best known Illuminating Lady is quite appropriate. It complements the the compass while I am looking for bearings and determine my position...

This Lady also nicely signifies the Liberating and Empowering effect that the sex industry had on many Ladies that I have met on the job.

Something for the UK lawmakers to keep in mind?

I'm off to add a link to my bloglist and a $pread-logo to my banner page.

Positions.

I actually nicked this picture off Alexa. Go See...The clip-art to the left is a "Position". A Lighthearted pre-amble to serious stuff.

With all the talk in the UK about new swedish-style laws around prostitution, I am again tempted to lay out lists of arguments. Help readers choose a position, so to speak.

A nice starting point is this article here. Do read the comments, as there are some intersting reactions.

Before christmas, I have already pointed out a post by the Luscious Livvy.

Lurking in the corridors was my link to this paper that explains the various arguments that feminists have had over prostitution. As is mostly the case, I tend to find myself in the rows of the liberals here. Not the US-style leftie-liberals, but the old-style Laissez-Faire school. The True Liberals.

However, after writing down my notes, arguments and questions in an email for discussion with a few online-friends, I also came across this "Position Page" and decided to put that up first...
Let me know what your opinion is (maybe we should have a poll).

While the readers browse-on and form their own opinions (or just have a laff), I will have my own ponder about this "Prossies and Politics" topic. I might put up a Posting if and only if I think I have something sensible to add. Otherswise, je vous laisse faire. You are all grown ups who can form their own opinion after all. But do not hestiate to share it.

A Great Boost.

Before I forget, and before it is too late:

Happy New Year to Everyone.

Today, at the end of a very slow working week, I got a Great Boost, But...

I seem to have made a (small-ish) customer extremely happy with just a 2 hr phone conference. The analogy with phone-services applies. These people called me. I told them my opinions on the subject at hand, and it was more or less what they wanted to hear.

And I wonder if it helped that I had prepared various cheeses on crackers to eat (but orange juice to drink) during the conference call.

All while sitting in front of my fireplace with a laptop and a speaker-phone that was on long mutes half of the time.

A Dream job. Not to mention some happy managers: no cost incurred, so no hassle over which department pays my expenses (those FF-ing Beancounters; scrutinizing hotel-bills)...

Yes, a good start of the Year.

But...
I happen to be addicted not just to cheese and crackers, but also to travel and its perks.

And I feel the need to say "Happy New Year" in person to a few Ladies. That will be the real Boost for the new year.
